I love to travel. I also love to cook – which is what I can be found doing when I’m not getting myself into trouble. I have an odd obsession with cupcakes – they make me all warm and fuzzy inside. I’m currently toying with the idea of having one tattooed on myself, but I’m still uncertain as to where…

You can find my blog here but I don’t write much anymore. Well, actually, I write A LOT.  Just not here.  I blog for a living, so I have about 8 ongoing projects that keep me pretty busy. I was going to delete this blog, but I’m totally I’m over that.  I’ve had a little bit of press from this blog, but for the most part I like to keep it low-key. In my experience,  crazy-ass psychos will make you feel that way.  Anyway, who would’ve thought when I started this blog that it would lead to a very rewarding career for me, and I love what I do.  It doesn’t hurt that I get a title like The Salt Police, either. :)

When I’m not in the office I don’t actually spend a lot of time on the Internet anymore. There’s nothing like being paid to surf the web to make you sick of the information super-highway.

Some of posts are now password protected. They’re mostly running edits on a the coolest writing project in my life. If I know you and want you to read them you have the password.

Some other snippets about me:

I have a dog. He is cute and cuddly and he likes to eat shoes.  This is very painful for me.  He ate a pair of Burberry slingbacks last year and I haven’t quite gotten over it yet.  My beta fish, Rex Murphy, is a much better house pet.

I split my time between two continents.  I’m building eco-friendly homes on both – one in a vineyard, one by the ocean.  I live in neither.

I’m originally from Newfoundland, which means that I may add or drop the letter “H” to/from any word at any time; and I might add an “S” to the end of any verb.

I randomly speak in accents.

This website is run using Wordpress and a the Bueno theme by Woo Themes. The formatting doesn’t permit apostrophes in the post titles – it’s not that I don’t know the difference.

I migrated this site to my own server in June 2010 and as a result some of the formatting and links in earlier entries might be wonky. Sorry about that, but hey, Life is too short for perfection.
